ABOUT

About Us

Jesus commanded his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. We believe all followers of Jesus are called and given opportunities to be disciple makers. Go Develop exists to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. Regarding ministry leaders, Ephesians 4:12 reminds us that, “Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.” At GoDevelop this is accomplished through training, providing resources, and coaching opportunities focusing on the importance of studying and obeying God’s Word and teaching others what God has taught you.
We believe that to passionately trust God we are required to daily put our faith into action. This means understanding God’s ownership of everything and our effectively and actively committing to our role as managers, trustees, and stewards of all that comes our way. Some days we just need help with that. We've developed uniquely different resources to help individuals and groups learn how they might enjoy the richness that life has to offer when each of us fully submit ourselves to our Savior.

Bob Wielenga, Founder & President

1980 changed Bob’s world when he went on his first short-term mission trip to the Dominican Republic. It was on that trip that Bob began to realize that if he was to become a disciple maker he needed to become aware of the opportunities God was giving him on a daily basis to teach others about Him. Now, with 40 years of ministry experience, Bob has directed and coordinated more than 500 short-term mission experiences, leading more than 15,000 individuals to an understanding of a Christian worldview. An internationally known public speaker on the topics of effective stewardship, generosity, mission development, and discipleship, Bob has trained and educated leaders in more than 80 countries.
With a passion to train others to become disciples of Jesus and disciple makers, Go Develop was launched in 2003 to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the Church, the body of Christ.
